    • Compiles and maintains arrest records and files; prepares hot sheet report. 
    • Studies incident reports and deletes juvenile and sexual assault information from reports in order to prepare reports for release to the media; arranges reports by case number. 
    • Enters reports into computer system; assigns UCR codes; sends reports to Georgia Crime Information Center on monthly basis. 
    • Prepares monthly crime figure reports and distributes them to Department personnel. Receives, processes, files, and maintains various reports and documents, including case files, reports for other agencies, arrest bookings, criminal histories, juvenile complaint forms, and other related records. 
    • Copies and distributes various reports to insurance companies and attorneys. Compiles monthly activity reports for the Department’s records, including number of arrests, incident reports filed, calls answered, and other activities. 
    • Performs other related job duties as assigned.  
    • Knowledge of court procedures and practices. 

    • Knowledge of department policies and procedures. 

    • Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.  

    • Knowledge of applicable federal and state statutes and local ordinances. 

    • Knowledge of law enforcement practices and procedures. 

    • Skill in records maintenance and file management. 

    • Skill in performing basic mathematical calculations. 

    • Skill in gathering information and preparing reports. 

    • Skill in operating various office equipment such as a typewriter, calculator, copier, facsimile machine, shredder, and personal computer. 

    • Skill in dealing with the public. 

    • Skill in oral and written communication.

    • Visual Acuity 1 - prepare, analyze data, transcribing, computer terminal, extensive reading.

    • Visual Acuity 3 - determine accuracy, neatness, observe facilities/structures.
    • Visual Acuity 4 - operate motor vehicles/heavy equipment.
    • Visual Acuity 5 -close acuity for inspection of small defects, machines, use measurement devices, or fabricate parts.
    • Walking - on foot to accomplish tasks, long distances, or site to site.
