We are dedicated to maintaining high standards of healthcare delivery and are seeking a skilled Medical Records Technician to join our dynamic team.

    As a Medical Records Technician, you will play a vital role in the efficient management and maintenance of patient medical records within our healthcare facility. You will be responsible for accurately organizing, storing, and updating patient information in compliance with regulatory standards and confidentiality policies.

    Responsibilities:
    Record Management: Maintain electronic and paper-based medical records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements such as HIPAA.
    Data Entry: Accurately enter patient information, including demographic details, medical history, diagnostic tests, treatments, and other relevant data into the electronic health record (EHR) system.
    Record Retrieval: Retrieve and release medical records as requested by healthcare providers, patients, insurance companies, and other authorized personnel in accordance with privacy regulations.
    Quality Control: Perform regular audits and quality checks on medical records to identify discrepancies, missing information, or errors, and take corrective actions as necessary.
    Confidentiality: Maintain strict confidentiality and security of patient information, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and organizational policies to protect patient privacy and data integrity.
    Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare professionals, administrative staff, and other team members to ensure accurate and timely access to patient records for clinical care, research, and administrative purposes.
    Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and assisting with record requests in a courteous and professional manner.
    Compliance: Stay updated on industry regulations, guidelines, and best practices related to medical record management, privacy, and security, and ensure adherence to relevant standards.

    Qualifications:
    High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in health information management or related field preferred.
    Certified Medical Records Technician (CMRT) certification or willingness to obtain certification within a specified period.
    Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical record software applications.
    Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record maintenance.
    Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
    Knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems (e.g., ICD-10, CPT), and healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
    Effective communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, healthcare professionals, and team members.
    Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
    Prior experience in medical records management or healthcare administration is desirable but not required.
