Records Manager develops and manages the company records department and information management programs. Responsible for overseeing the storage, backup, maintenance, reproduction, protection, and disposition of all records. Being a Records Manager evaluates and recommends media formats and storage requirements to be used for records/information. Ensures that processes and policies that comply with all regulatory requirements for record retention are followed. Additionally, Records Manager designs and implements systems and processes to protect and secure critical records and information. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Records Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes.     Requirements:

    • Must have general knowledge of the billing cycle.
    • Knowledge of HIPAA Privacy regulations and policy.
    • Must be a critical thinker and possess problem solving skills when applying knowledge and experience to clinical situations.
    • Ability to complete project work and work within budget constraints.
    • Must be able to use a variety of communication devices including telephone, computer and fax machine.
    • Must possess written and verbal skills to effectively disseminate information, communicate effectively and positively with
    • employees.
    • Must be able to visually complete forms.
    • The ability to use a variety of clinical machines, computers and other office equipment, requires the use of fine motor skills
    • and precise hand/eye coordination.
    • Ability to flourish in an ever changing environment.
    • Must of a good listener, a team builder and an advocate for superior customer service for patients.
    • Maintains confidentiality for clients and staff.
    • Maintains ethical standards in performing job functions.
    • Maintains personal appearance for a professional work environment.
    • Work schedule may vary based upon clinics and patient care needs.
