Records Manager develops and manages the company records department and information management programs. Responsible for overseeing the storage, backup, maintenance, reproduction, protection, and disposition of all records. Being a Records Manager evaluates and recommends media formats and storage requirements to be used for records/information. Ensures that processes and policies that comply with all regulatory requirements for record retention are followed. Additionally, Records Manager designs and implements systems and processes to protect and secure critical records and information. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Records Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. SALES OPERATIONS MANAGER

    As a SALES OPERATIONS MANAGER, you will:

    • Maintain detailed records relative to procurement of merchandise.
    • Utilize Point of Sale software for inventory control, obtaining sales data for analysis and reporting requirements.
    • Generate purchase orders and receive reports as well as approving certified invoices relating to store merchandise.
    • Supervise a group of full-time, part-time, and intermittent clerks who work for the sales operation, stockroom, mail order function, and display.
    • Oversee merchandise displays. This involves planning, creating, and implementing all display changes to store area.

    Conditions of Employment

    The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.     • A one year supervisory or managerial probationary period may be required.
    • Must successfully complete a background investigation.

    To be qualified for this position at the GS-07 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 level that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position includes:

    Demonstrating your ability to lead and/or perform retail and/or mail order sales, merchandising, procurement, and inventory control activities; AND
    Performing supervisory and personnel management functions; preparing and maintaining reports; AND
    Utilizing computer technology and software programs.
