Goldberg Segalla, a dynamic and collaborative law firm with a national presence, seeks a highly motivated and organized individual to join its team as a Records Analyst in its Buffalo, NY office. This individual will be responsible for providing support to the Director of Records & Information Management and the Records Manager. The Records Analyst plays a pivotal role in management and organizing legal documents, ensuring compliance with firm policy and procedures.
Responsibilities::
- Demonstrates an advanced understanding of and provides support and guidance on Records and Information Management processes.
- Collaborates across the firm to facilitate and support adoption of consistent records management practices
- Become subject matter expert on all Records and Information Management’s applications and systems
- Oversee the routine file transfer process for off boarding and onboarding attorneys, ensuring a smooth transition of records.
- Inventory and facilitate the transfer of records to and from offsite storage.
- Oversee onsite shredding services
- Coordinate the disposal and destruction of records in compliance with legal retention requirements and firm policies, ensuring proper documentation of the process
- Takes lead on small scale projects or initiatives.
- Trains and provides technical assistance to department staff on applications that house firm records
- Performs related work as assigned
Working Conditions:: Work is generally performed within an office environment with standard office equipment.
Experience/Requirements::
- Associates Degree in a related field and 2 years of Records Management experience OR;
- An equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- Ability to work independently within general guidelines and minimal supervision
- Ability to respond to internal or external inquiries, including those of a sensitive, confidential, or adversarial nature
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and execute responsibilities in the face of conflicting priorities or unexpected situations
- Ability to effectively communicate, and nurture working relationships with all levels of management and staff
Benefits::
This role offers a salary. The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000. Actual pay may be adjusted based on experience and other job related factors permitted by law. This position also offers a full benefits package.
