Responsible for overseeing the storage, backup, maintenance, reproduction, protection, and disposition of all records. Being a Records Supervisor evaluates and recommends media formats and storage requirements to be used for records/information. Provides training and guidance to end users. Additionally, Records Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Records Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. Duties:
Part Time
Maintain the integrity of active and discharge medical records with established system in an organized manner.
Respond to request of medical records by different entities in compliance with State & Federal guideline.
Perform audits pertaining to medical records to ensure compliance.
Assist staff filing records to maintain compliance.
Ensure all forms are signed by designated staff to comply with State & Federal guideline.
Performs thinning of medical records per facility policy.
Ensure medical records are accurately closed in a timely manner.
Qualification
Medical records experience in skilled nursing facility preferred.
Proficient in use of MS Word & Excel.
Basic computer skills.
Detail-oriented, organized and high standard of accuracy
