Records Supervisor supervises a team working in the company records department and information management programs. Responsible for overseeing the storage, backup, maintenance, reproduction, protection, and disposition of all records. Being a Records Supervisor evaluates and recommends media formats and storage requirements to be used for records/information. Provides training and guidance to end users. Additionally, Records Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Records Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. Job Summary
The overall purpose of the Medical Records Technician position is to establish and maintain organized medical records and files, according to acceptable policies and procedures that include OBRA guidelines and Texas, NM, LA state standards.
