Job Overview:
The Recreation Facility Coordinator - Fields & Courts will be responsible for monitoring, reporting, and coordinating day to day facility needs for the following recreation facilities in Ladera Ranch: Cox Sports Park and Community Sports Fields, Community Sports Courts.
Compensation: $21.00-$23.50/hr
FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Job Responsibilities:
General
- Coordinate, direct, and review daily operations such as cleaning, landscaping, and maintenance work to properly maintain LARMAC property located at facilities in Ladera Ranch
- Perform routine safety inspections
- Perform routine inventory of supplies and prepare plans for reordering supplies as needed
- Assist with the management of recreational staff: help with shift changes, update them on current events, instruct them in their daily objectives, and provide prompt assistance
- Generate work orders based on daily property walks
- Be visible and accessible for residents, guests, and facility users who have questions or concerns regarding the use of the facility
- Provide regular reports with detailed information for facility use and incidents
- Any and all other assignments as deemed necessary by the Sports and Recreation Manager
- Work with vendors and other LARMAC departments on any projects related to facilities
Community Sports Fields, Courts and Cox Sports Park
- Field Monitor may be stationed at Cox Sports Park or travel between various sports facilities throughout the Ladera Ranch community
- Diligently monitors and records the permitted users at each facility, ensuring that facility time and location are being used according to the issued permit, and that rules and regulations are being followed, including both fields and sports courts
- Ensure the appropriate use of LARMAC owned equipment. Must be able to do some repair work as needed
- Walk each field and court, checking for any safety, maintenance, or landscape issues
that must be addressed. Reports all issues to the Sports and Recreation Manager
- May need to resolve conflict between permitted and unpermitted users, or between two permitted users. Uses reasoning and judgment to provide a conflict solution
- Update Ladera Life field status page for the most current field conditions: work with field maintenance workers and the Sports and Recreation Manager to make decisions on closures and reopening of Sports fields, courts, and other community facilities
Skills & Qualifications:
- Exceptional customer service skills are required
- Use of a vehicle, including a valid driver's license and insurance is required
- The ability to work efficiently, diligently, and independently without constant direct supervision is required
- Must have the ability to read, write, and verbalize detailed reports, both electronically and in hard copy
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications including the use of spreadsheets, email, and word processing
Education & Experience:
- Knowledge and experience in sports and recreation is preferred
- Completion of some college course-work is required

- Must be able to sit, stand, and move for extended periods of time

- Due to the customer service nature of this position, must be able to communicate verbally with residents, guests and co-workers.
Travel:
- Valid Driver's License, State Mandated Vehicle Insurance, and other certifications as needed
