Recreational Therapist jobs in Lafayette, LA
Recreational Therapist plans and directs medically approved therapeutic recreational programs for patients. Organizes activities according to patients' capabilities, needs, and interests. Being a Recreational Therapist conducts programs including symptom management, basic conversation skills, community re-entry, sports, gardening, dramatics, music, social activities, and arts and crafts. Prepares reports for patients' physicians describing individual patient symptoms and reactions to therapeutic programs. Additionally, Recreational Therapist conducts activity therapy assessment of a patient's strengths and needs, and recommends therapeutic activity. Documents progress on each patient. Requires a license/certification to practice from the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Specialists. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Requires to practice from the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Specialists. Recreational Therapist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Gymnastics Coach to join our team. As a Gymnastics Coach, you will be responsible for providing high-quality instruction and guidance to gymnasts of all ages and skill levels. - Monitor and evaluate gymnasts' progress and adjust training accordingly
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all gymnasts
- Demonstrate proper spotting techniques to ensure the safety of gymnasts during training
- Collaborate with other coaches to plan and coordinate team practices and competitions
- Maintain equipment cleanliness and report any maintenance needsSkills:
- Experience in cheerleading, martial arts, or related disciplines is a plus
- Strong behavior management skills to effectively handle different personalities and maintain discipline during training sessions
- Experience working with children or students in a coaching or teaching capacity
- Ability to climb, lift, and move equipment as needed
- Knowledge of physical education principles and techniques
