Recreational Therapist plans and directs medically approved therapeutic recreational programs for patients. Organizes activities according to patients' capabilities, needs, and interests. Being a Recreational Therapist conducts programs including symptom management, basic conversation skills, community re-entry, sports, gardening, dramatics, music, social activities, and arts and crafts. Prepares reports for patients' physicians describing individual patient symptoms and reactions to therapeutic programs. Additionally, Recreational Therapist conducts activity therapy assessment of a patient's strengths and needs, and recommends therapeutic activity. Documents progress on each patient. Requires a license/certification to practice from the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Specialists. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. Requires to practice from the National Council of Therapeutic Recreation Specialists. Recreational Therapist's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Days will vary. Summer holidays and most weekends are mandatory. Rotated late shift on Fridays.
Position Description & Responsibilities:
Answering a multi-line phone
Making reservations via phone and in person
Being able to distinguish between our various memberships and insuring the accuracy of the reservations
Receiving and resolving guest complaints
Handling and properly routing owners concerns
Taking payments: cash, check or credit cards
Checking in guests
Provide Concierge Information to guests
Filing and organizing resort records
Standard office work
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Education: High School or equivalent.
2. Experience: Prior experience a plus.
3. Skills: Good language and interpersonal skills, MS Office, Computer knowledge, Cash handling, Organizational skills, Multi-Tasking, Phone Etiquette.
