Recreational Therapy Director directs the programs and staff of the recreational therapy department including policies and procedures. Sets and implements guidelines for recreational therapy programs. Being a Recreational Therapy Director conducts patient programs in areas of social interaction, theater, games, crafts, and music. Communicates the results of patient care to other health services. Additionally, Recreational Therapy Director may require an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. May require professional certification. The Recreational Therapy Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     What You’ll Do

    In our state of the art, outpatient clinics, you can put your passion to work in meaningful ways by:

    • Using your extensive expertise — and sincere desire to help people — to evaluate and treat active older adult patients
    • Use your amazing leadership skills to grow and develop other professionals on your team
    • Connect with family members, physicians, and other team members to coordinate care and deliver successful outcomes
    • Inspire your patients to set and reach goals, so they can live their best life
    • Be proactive identifying the patients needs and acting on them
    • Use your expertise to independently and creatively to create the road map to your patient achieving their goals

    What You’ll Bring

    • Licensed Physical
    • Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant or Occupational Therapy Assistant - must also hold a bachelor’s degree
    • Established clinicians with at least two (2) years of clinical experience 
    • A passion for working with active older adults
