Sets and implements guidelines for recreational therapy programs. Being a Recreational Therapy Director conducts patient programs in areas of social interaction, theater, games, crafts, and music. Communicates the results of patient care to other health services. Additionally, Recreational Therapy Director may require an advanced degree. Typically reports to top management. Qualifications:
Graduated from an
accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program or university

professional license and registration for state of NY

Assistant Responsibilities:
Assist with
retrieving scripts/doctor’s orders as requested by DOR
Administer a
treatment program and appropriate intervention as indicated by evaluation and
plan of care determined by supervising (Physical Therapist, Occupational
Therapist)
Complete documentation timely and in
accordance with CMS guidelines
Communicate with supervising
therapist as required by state practice act and as needed to enhance patient
care and outcomes
