HR - Recruiter
This position is located at our Administrative Office in Dothan, Alabama.
Work hours are Monday-Thursday 8am-530pm and Friday 8am-12pm
POSITION SUMMARY/FUNCTION
This position is responsible for managing all facets of coordinating the hiring of employees for the mental illness, substance abuse, and developmental disabilities divisions of SpectraCare. This position will develop and maintain a pool of staff to work as needed, conduct follow-up with program managers, and effectively communicate with levels of management to ensure program needs are being met through staffing. Must exercise independent judgment in some decisions made. Travel may be required within the catchment area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES/FUNCTIONS/TASKS:
- Manage the recruitment and hiring for SpectraCare positions according to program standards.
- Actively recruit candidates through various sources to include but not limited to job fairs, college recruiting fairs, social media outlets, job boards, etc. to build a robust candidate pipeline.
- Screen candidates by reviewing resumes and job applications, ensuring candidates meet the Alabama Department of Mental Health Standards and/or SpectraCare’s program descriptions for position applied.
- Schedule and conduct interviews as needed.
- Efficiently and effectively fill open positions to meet the demands of SpectraCare programs.
- Conduct new hire screenings to include but not limited to reference checks, background, MVR, TB tests, OIG exclusions, SAMS and drug screens for candidates.
- Stay abreast of recruiting trends and best practices.
- Collaborates with the Director of Human Resources during the offer process, identifying start dates, salary negotiations or other pertinent details.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- BS Degree in Business, Human Resources and/or related field required.
- Minimum three (3) years Human Resources experience with knowledge of employment law and
- procedures and recruiting.
- Possession of a valid Driver License with good MVR.
- Free from DUI and reckless driving convictions for the previous three (3) years.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- Five (5) plus years experience in Human Resources.
- Three (3) plus years experience in mental health, substance abuse, or intellectual disability field
