    The Recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the organization with the assistance of the Director of Human Resources. The Recruiter will conform to institutional policies and procedures and adhere to diverse, equitable, and inclusive practices.

    DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
    • Collaborates with executives, directors, department managers and faculty chairs to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
    • Work closely with managers to gain a comprehensive understanding Pacifica Graduate Institute’s hiring needs for every role, and to meet competitive hiring goals and expectations.
    • Manage the full recruiting lifecycle across a variety of open roles, helping managers find, hire, and retain quality candidates
    • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
    • Knowledge of recruiting strategies, to ensure workforce needs are in alignment with Pacifica’s long-term strategic plan and objectives, which will require coordination, planning and forecasting with stakeholders.
    • Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
    • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates with the assistant of the hiring manager and Department Chairs.
    • Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
    • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
    • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
    • Remain active with job boards, social networks, and platforms for finding quality candidates, and create and post job descriptions and announcements.
    • Maintain database of candidate records, including active and passive prospects, hired and fired employees, and other designation.
    • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
    • Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting events.
    • Assist with updating for all job descriptions to ensure consistency and equity.
    • Assists in the Onboarding/Orientation of all New Hires.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence and data; strong organizational, administrative, and time-management skills; strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to identify issues and creatively problem-solve on a variety of issues; effective presentation and interpersonal skills; strong ability to exercise sound judgment; ability to remain current on trends within recruitment strategies and .the ability to work independently with the guidance of the Director of Human Resources. Strong sense of customer service and institutional citizenship needed.

    REQUIRED SKILLS

    • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
    • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
    • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
    • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
    • At least three years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred.
    • Experience with a large public sector, non-profit, or educational institution preferred
    • Basic knowledge of Depth Psychology; some familiarity with the works of authors in that field is desirable
    • Demonstrated experience with and/or commitment to working effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
    • Full professional proficiency in English, reading, writing, and speaking. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
    • Advanced knowledge of productivity software, database management, and internet search methods
    • Familiarity with job boards and computer systems designed specifically for HR
    • Proven success in conducting interviews using various methods (phone, video, email, in-person)

    Hourly Rate $28 – $30 an hour
