Job Title: Enrollment Recruiting Specialist/Assistant Football Coach

Summary: The purpose of this position is to support and guide students with all aspects of financing college. This position serves as the student finance office associate by assisting students with student accounts and financial literacy. This position also coordinates the college’s default prevention program and works with veterans’ benefits as ECC’s VA School Certifying Official.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provides academic advising, recruiting, registration, and support to current and prospective students including maintaining a current understanding of all education programs. Works with prospective students and families through the recruiting cycle to ensure all paperwork is received, processed, and all questions are addressed. Assists students and visitors in person, by email, electronic means and over the phone. Manages the admission process for all our international student applicants and serves as a “first responder” to international phone calls, emails, and campus visitors. Provides academic advising, recruiting, registration, and support to current, prospective, and international students including maintaining a current understanding of all education programs. Assists and educates students on program requirements, graduation, and transfer and articulation information. Develops and maintains a broad knowledge of college student services and refers students for specific assistance. Travel and recruit to assigned high schools and college fairs to promote and market the college to prospective students. Assists with all aspects of college, departmental events, and activities. Understands the financial aid process to assist students with common questions and assists with filling out the FAFSA. Acts as a resource to motivate students toward positive experiences while enrolled. Organizes recruiting events for special populations and programs.
- Assists Head Coach in cultivating an environment for successful recruitment and retention of student athletes. Supports the development of student athletes’ success in the classroom and in their respective sport. Provides for program needs within allocated budget and assists with program and department fundraising. Develops on and off campus relationships that support the success of the position. Assists Housing Department as needed.
- Supports the overall success of the District by performing other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience: Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required. Master’s Degree preferred. Appropriate licensure if required.
Abilities: Preference given for Spanish language speakers. Requires excellent communication ability - both oral and written. Punctuality and attention to detail required. Knowledge of College admission policies, financial aid processes, academic advising, and website protocol knowledge is essential. Ability to interact with diverse personalities, cultures, and academic backgrounds. Manage problems effectively and exercise independent judgment when making decisions. Establish and maintain a good working relationship with students, staff, administrators, and public in general. Provide strong human relations skills.
Base Wage: $37,600 - $50,133 annually - actual salary will be based on experience and education.
