Develops and enhances and organization's recruiting program, policies, and procedures. Being a Recruiting Director executes a strategy to position the organization as a preferred employer. Evaluates and communicates key metrics to develop appropriate recruitment strategies and ensure positions are filled efficiently and effectively. Additionally, Recruiting Director maintains relationships with schools, advertisement, and recruitment agencies. Oversees the recruitment for senior level and executive positions.     Compensation and Benefits

    Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: Up to $3,000 per month

    This is a full-time, non-exempt position.

    Positions at Fresno State are to perform their work onsite. Some positions, depending upon University needs and operations, may be eligible for remote work, one day per week, pursuant to Fresno State's remote work guidelines and the CSU policy.

    Job Summary

    Under the general direction of the Assistant Athletic Director for Football and Director of Recruiting Operations, the Assistant Director of Recruiting Operations will help coordinate all aspects of recruiting potential student-athletes. The Assistant Director of Recruiting Operations will stay abreast about industry standards and best practices. The candidate is also responsible for supporting the philosophy, goals, and mission of the Fresno State Athletics Department, as well as adherence to the NCAA policies and procedures.


    Key Qualifications

    • Thorough knowledge of office procedures, methods and practices
    • Knowledge of office machines and computer software, including Microsoft Office, electronic mail, electronic business forms and the internet
    • Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and spelling
    • Demonstrated competence in understanding, interpreting and communicating procedures, policies, information, ideas and instructions
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
    • Strong verbal communication and persuasion skills with the ability to compose professional correspondence (emails, social media posts, etc.) to attract student-athletes
    • Ability to:
      • Work in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions
      • Work independently under general instruction and limited supervision on a variety of routine and complex assignments
      • Work effectively with individuals of various ethnic, racial and socio-economic groups

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution.
    • Minimum two (2) years of football experience at the collegiate or NFL level.
