Recruiting Director plans, develops, and directs processes to attract, evaluate, and refer candidates for open positions through recruiting website, employee referrals, on-site recruiting and other sourcing methods. Develops and enhances and organization's recruiting program, policies, and procedures. Being a Recruiting Director executes a strategy to position the organization as a preferred employer. Evaluates and communicates key metrics to develop appropriate recruitment strategies and ensure positions are filled efficiently and effectively. Additionally, Recruiting Director maintains relationships with schools, advertisement, and recruitment agencies. Oversees the recruitment for senior level and executive positions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Recruiting Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.     About the role...

    • The Director of Agent Recruiting oversees a team responsible for sourcing and recruiting agency owner candidates, including people leaders and individual contributors.
    • Develops and executes on the company strategy, tactics, and initiatives for recruiting agency owners and other initiatives.
    • Ensures the team and operations are aligned with company objectives and evolving agency owner value propositions.
    • Researches, develops, recommends, and implements processes and other enhancements to drive recruiting volume, efficiency, and effectiveness to achieve targets and improve return on investment.
    • Leads and participates in larger scale projects and initiatives, including those related to recruiting, agency development, and distribution.

    What you'll accomplish...

    • Responsible for the strategy and execution of recruiting agency owners in applicable markets.
    • Responsible for achieving assigned objectives including those related to sourcing, recruiting, and agency development.
    • Proactively identifies gaps, opportunities, and solutions.
    • Owns the recruiting process in applicable markets, including the recruiting flow and pipeline, responsibilities of each team and position, shifting of resources between markets, utilization of recruiting sources, and vendors.
    • Responsible for hiring, training, coaching, and performance managing, including people leaders and their employees.
    • Assesses talent and manages performance expectations.
    • Promotes and facilitates employee development.
    • Develops a winning culture through communication, employee development, team building, and other means.
    • Sets clear goals and priorities for the team.
    • Holds self and team accountable for results.
    • Recommends and implements organizational changes as appropriate.
    • Directs and facilitates people leaders observing, coaching, and instructing employees on various aspects of sourcing and recruiting including targeted candidate profiles, how to position the agency owner value proposition, overcoming objections, and independent contractor classification.
    • Ensures that the agency owner opportunity is being presented accurately, professionally, with integrity, and with the perspectives of the candidate and company in mind.
    • Minimizes unnecessary legal and independent contractor classification risk.
    • Assists employees with understanding the programs and benefits available to them, and how their work relates to the larger strategy.
    • Develops and leverages employee compensation programs and incentives to drive results.
    • Manages department budget and resources.
    • Provides updates on trends, results, tactics, and other aspects of the department as appropriate via presentations, spreadsheets, written communication, and other means.
    • Communicates strategic objectives, program or process changes, and other information as appropriate.
    • Facilitates, gathers, and provides relevant intel and feedback on programs, vendors, systems, competitors, and markets.
    • Works independently and with business partners on issue resolution, initiative rollouts, program changes, and process enhancements.
    • Collaborates closely with peers and business partners on developing, prioritizing, and implementing solutions for any issues, opportunities, and best practices related to recruiting and the candidate experience.
    • Develops and utilizes reporting to track, evaluate, and drive results.
    • Leverages data and experience in making decisions.
    • Responsible for ensuring data accuracy including recruiting results and forecasts.
    • Ensures up-to-date records of activity, interactions, and candidate statuses are maintained using approved systems and methods, and that any system or process issues are reported in a timely manner.
    • Directs audits and reviews to ensure compliance with agency development guidelines, processes, and state and federal insurance laws and regulations.
    • Performs other job duties as assigned.

    Education needed...

    Bachelors degree preferably in business or related field.

    Experience needed...

    Five years of job-related management experience required with extensive knowledge of recruiting strategy and tactics. Experience managing large teams preferred. Experience in distribution and/or the insurance industry preferred.
