Recruiting Director plans, develops, and directs processes to attract, evaluate, and refer candidates for open positions through recruiting website, employee referrals, on-site recruiting and other sourcing methods. Develops and enhances and organization's recruiting program, policies, and procedures. Being a Recruiting Director executes a strategy to position the organization as a preferred employer. Evaluates and communicates key metrics to develop appropriate recruitment strategies and ensure positions are filled efficiently and effectively. Additionally, Recruiting Director maintains relationships with schools, advertisement, and recruitment agencies. Oversees the recruitment for senior level and executive positions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Recruiting Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget.     The Beacon Director is responsible for all operations of the Beacon Community Center. Beacon Community Centers are collaborative school-based community programs serving children aged six and older, and adults of all ages. Our Beacons guide participants in building both positive social connections and a sense of community, exploring their interests and their passions, becoming life-long learners, gaining meaningful experiences, developing the skills and the mindset they need to succeed in their educational and career settings, and in becoming active participants and leaders in their communities.

     

    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Execute safe and high-quality positive community and youth development programming.
    • Meet and exceed agency & contractual expectations for recruitment, enrollment, and retention of participants and families through outreach initiatives and in-demand services.
    • Respond to the needs of the Beacon participants and the community.
    • Maintain systems to ensure adherence to all policies, guidelines, and contractual requirements.
    • Ensures accurate and timely input of all attendance, registration forms, data, and reporting in agency and funder databases.
    • Leads or supports the planning, facilitation, and development of special events.
    • Maintains and develops collaboration.
    • Represents QCH in the community through outreach and attendance at meetings.
    • Monitor staff attendance and hours and approve time sheets for payroll processing.
    • Serves as a senior leader within the Beacon Unit and the Youth Services division as a whole.
    • Responds appropriately to emergencies ensuring proper protocols, documentation, and follow up.
    • Oversees sub-contracted and co-located programs, referral linkages, and reciprocal agreements.
    • Must be available to work events during the evenings and weekends.
    • Completes other duties and leads special projects as assigned.

     

    Qualifications:

    • BA/BS Degree in Social Services, Social Work, School, Public Health, Education, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory and management experience developing and implementing youth and community development programs.
    • Demonstrated capacity to build partnerships and work effectively with staff and stakeholders from a wide range of backgrounds to achieve shared goals.
    • Proficiency with: Microsoft Outlook E-mail, Calendar, One Drive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Classroom, Canva, and Adobe PDF Editor.
    • Ability to obtain appropriate clearances and meet NYS School Aged Child Care Program Director requirements.
    • Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, including the ability to articulate ideas in writing and to make effective public presentations.

     

    Preferred Skills/Experience/Qualities:

    • Bilingual Spanish preferred - not required. 
    • Master’s Degree.
    • Previous experience in school settings and working with age groups.
    • The ability and the technology to work with participants both in-person and remotely.
