Recruiting Director plans, develops, and directs processes to attract, evaluate, and refer candidates for open positions through recruiting website, employee referrals, on-site recruiting and other sourcing methods. Develops and enhances and organization's recruiting program, policies, and procedures. Being a Recruiting Director executes a strategy to position the organization as a preferred employer. Evaluates and communicates key metrics to develop appropriate recruitment strategies and ensure positions are filled efficiently and effectively. Additionally, Recruiting Director maintains relationships with schools, advertisement, and recruitment agencies. Oversees the recruitment for senior level and executive positions. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Recruiting Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Recruiting Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     SUMMARY:

    This position is responsible for overseeing all operational tasks related to the football program. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to practice and game day operations, recruiting, budgeting, team travel and providing a positive collegiate experience for student-athletes. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversee all operational tasks of the Football department 
      • Assist with equipment purchasing and inventory
      • Plan and coordinate all travel arrangements including hotels, buses, charter flights, and team meetings and meals
      • Manage game and practice logistics
    • Direct all recruiting activities. Specifically, manage the organization and logistics of all official and unofficial visits and effectively maintain the recruiting database in the web-based recruiting & compliance monitoring system. 
    • Monitor the budget for the football program. 
    • Responsible for all aspects of pre-season camp. 
    • Serve as the liaison between football and all other athletic department personnel including facility management, the business office, communications, marketing, ticket office, compliance, strength & conditioning, the equipment room, and academic support. 
    • Comply with NCAA, conference, and University of Richmond regulations. 

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • General knowledge of Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to perform accurate detail-oriented work, the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population and strong interpersonal skills are required
    • A thorough knowledge of NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations is required.
    • Strong understanding of all aspects of social media is preferred.
    • Ability to lead and motivate student-athletes is required.
    • Required:  Must have a valid Driver's License and be able to produce a driving record with a minimum of 3 years of driving history in good standing

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree is required and a Master’s degree is preferred for the position.
    • Experience working with football programs or collegiate athletic departments required

    WORK HOURS:

    • Full-time, exempt position
    • Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; 7.75 hrs./day; 38.75 hrs./week
    • Requires work on nights and weekends
    • Regular travel required (team travel)

    SALARY STRUCTURE:
    Pay Grade 5 (Hiring Range $ to $)
