Recruiting Manager implements and manages processes to attract, evaluate, and refer candidates for open positions through recruiting website, employee referrals, on-site recruiting and other sourcing methods. Oversees an organization's recruiting program, policies, and procedures. Being a Recruiting Manager evaluates and communicates key metrics to recommend appropriate recruitment strategies and ensure positions are filled efficiently and effectively. Reviews and approves content and placement of advertisements and job postings. Additionally, Recruiting Manager secures appropriate resources for staff to be successful. Soccer Shots Baltimore-Washington works closely with Soccer Shots Franchising National Headquarters in Middletown, PA. and we offer programs at nearly 500 locations, serving over 30,000 participants, and employing over 100 part-time coaches and 15 full-time employees.

    Recruiting Manager reports to: Director of Talent Development & Culture

    Overview: The Recruiting Manager plays a strategic role in filling vacancies across the organization to support Soccer Shots operations throughout DC, MD & VA. In this role, you will be leading the organization’s recruiting and networking efforts. You will be responsible for partnering with and supporting Regional Managers during the recruiting and screening stage for coaches and interns, as well as other full time positions. We’re looking for a motivated individual who can source talent locally and strategically, and is thoroughly passionate about our mission. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying additional opportunities in the communities that we serve to partner with local businesses and organizations to increase brand awareness.

    Salary: $45,000 to $55,000 per year based on experience

    Recruitment:

    • Research and attend career fairs, post for new positions within CareerPlug (Applicant Tracking System, "ATS") and other strategic locations, review candidates, and help with all other aspects of recruiting/hiring
    • Track origin of all candidates through the ATS
    • Drive recruiting strategy
    • Review and screen applicants
    • Coordinate interview process as needed
    • Communicate findings with other staff as necessary
    • Create weekly recruitment reports for Leadership Team
    • Implement the company’s high standard for coaching and develop a team of high performing coaches.
    • Work with Coaching Team to ensure seasonal coaching needs are met through virtual and in-person interviews
    • Partner with Training Manager to ensure successful on-boarding and training for new coaches
    • Support the Training Manager with any training, onboarding, and continuing development of coaches
    • Responsible for ensuring coaches have a positive impact in the organization’s NPS scores
    • Create processes for accountability & project management of the Soccer Shots Program schedules and seasonal evaluations on all coaches
    • Responsible for creating a culture representative of Soccer Shots Core Values within the team
    • Appropriately prepare staff needs for upcoming season, and forecast needs for future seasons
    • Coaching based on business need

    Business Administration

    • Collaborate with Human Resources Department to ensure compliance with coaches
    • Work on forecasting models and opportunities that effectively and economically benefit the business and the staffing needs
    • Preparing reports and presenting to the Director of Talent Development and Culture as needed
    • Ensuring there is regular upkeep of the department’s tools for recruitment, training & development

    Internship:

    • Provide leadership in the continued development and implementation of a viable Internship program.
    • Manage the application process for and placement of students at Soccer Shots locations to perform their Internship.
    • Maintain communication with interns through weekly meetings to contribute to professional growth, provide feedback and a collaborative environment.
    • Develop new strategies to enhance the internship program.
    • Collaborate with team on all aspects of programming, reporting, and special events.

    Required education/experience:

    • College degree required in a related field
    • 5 years of experience in human resources, business, communications, marketing, or a similar field
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

    Role/Classification/Schedule/Location: This position is a full-time, Exempt position requiring 40-50 hours of work per week. Typical/expected working hours are Monday through Friday, between 8:30am and 5:00pm. In-person office days are Monday-Thursday with work remote on Fridays. On occasion, it may be necessary to work additional hours, including some weekday evenings and some Saturdays to meet deadlines and to exceed goals. This position will work out of the Laurel, MD office, unless otherwise approved.

Employment and compensation is based on overall performance of both the Company and the employee, and SSF reserves the right to terminate employment for failure to meet expectations.

    Evaluation and Review:

    • Soccer Shots will perform an initial review after 60 days
    • Soccer Shots will perform an annual employee review
