GEM Technologies, Inc. (GEM) is seeking a Recruiting Coordinator to join our team. This position is full-time and will support the Hanford Site in Richland, WA.

• Associate's Degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to understand and apply a broad range of recruitment and staffing concepts, principles, practices, laws, and policies sufficient to perform the major duties of the position.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs and Adobe Pro.
• Strong technical, administrative, organizational, and records maintenance capabilities evidenced by: experience maintaining and extracting date from systems, sorting, analyzing, creating reports, and preparing documents for review, experience assisting with interpretation and implementation of local policies, regulations, and guidance, and experience working with employees and supervisors in preparing documents and reviewing for accuracy.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, to interpret information, advise supervisor, resolve problems, and interface with all levels of management throughout the Hanford Site, sufficient to perform the major duties of the position.
• Ability to plan, organize, and direct complex work to include scheduling and facilitating interview logistics, sufficient to perform the major duties of the position.

• Maintain working files, org chart, Position Descriptions, hiring form and Environmental Management and/or S1/S2 approvals in Hanford Workforce Management (HWFM) shared drive.
• Assists Hanford supervisors, preparing updates to position descriptions for supervisory and Workforce Program Manager review.
• Assists RL, ORP supervisors, writing the hiring requests for supervisory, and Workforce Program Manager review.
• Assists RL and ORP supervisors with hiring packages, prepare final packages for Workforce Program Manager review and submission for approval.
• Assists RL and ORP supervisors, preparing duties, vacancy questions and editing job analysis for supervisory and Workforce Program Manager review before submission.
• Assists RL and ORP supervisors, writing incentive documentation including but not limited to advance in hire, relocation, recruitment and/or retention incentives justifications for supervisory and Workforce Program Manager review.
• Assists RL and ORP supervisors and act as their point of contact for keeping items moving between the supervisor, HWFM, and the Human Capital Shared Service Center.
• Assists RL and ORP supervisors, in preparing for interviews scheduling, preparing interview questions and binders for supervisory and Workforce Program Manager review.
• Assists RL and ORP supervisors with ensuring office space is identified for all new employees and proper requests are made for IT equipment, office furniture etc.
• Assists HWFM with recruitment fairs, have a working knowledge of all federal hiring authorities.
• Management and update all recruitment fair fliers and current vacancy list.
• Assist in managing the electronic position description (PD) libraries identify and make corrections/modifications to position descriptions (PDs) and convert to word format for review by Classification.
• Assists with the onboarding/orientation process for all new employees on all aspects of employee HR needs.

• To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
• Due to the federal nature of the work, a U.S. Citizenship is required.

• Knowledge of the Hanford Site’s goals, objectives, organizations, programs, missions, and functions (preferred).

The Hanford Site, located within a 580-square-mile section of semi-arid desert in Richland, Washington, was established in 1943 as part of the Manhattan Project to produce plutonium for national defense. Here, the DOE focuses on environmental restoration, waste management, scientific and environmental research and development of radioactive waste technologies. Under the Tri-Party Agreement, lower-level hazardous wastes are buried in huge, lined pits that will be sealed and monitored with sophisticated instruments for many years (energy.gov).
