Referral Coordinator

We are seeking a Referral Coordinator to join our team. They will perform various administrative functions, including referral processing, verification of benefits, insurance authorizations, patient appointment scheduling, communication with referral sources, and other tasks assigned.

Compensation:

• $15-20 per hour (depending on education and experience)

Schedule:

• 8 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday

Essential Functions:

• Responsible for the tracking, coordination, and communication of testing, internal office referrals, and transfer requests
• Ensures complete and accurate patient registration, including demographics and current insurance information
• Handles requests from third-party referral sources and provides relevant information and data
• Assembles information concerning the patient's clinical background and referral needs
• Contact insurance companies to ensure verification of benefits and prior authorization approval requirements are met
• Ensures that referrals are addressed promptly

Skills & Qualifications

• Bilingual English and Spanish (preferred)
• Associate degree preferred or three years of relevant experience
• Strong customer service focus
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Teamwork orientation
• Organized and able to manage multiple priorities
