Refinery Operator controls equipment systems that process natural gas or petroleum into specified products. Responsibilities include monitoring pressure and flow and reading gauges and adjusting valves as needed. Being a Refinery Operator requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Refinery Operator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Our Safety-Kleen Refinery in East Chicago, IN is looking for a Refinery Operator to join our safety conscious team. You will be responsible for receiving, sampling, and unloading all inbound bulk shipments of used oil by railcar and trucks including but not limited to data entry and managing paperwork.
