Refinery Operator jobs in Waterloo, IA
Refinery Operator controls equipment systems that process natural gas or petroleum into specified products. Responsibilities include monitoring pressure and flow and reading gauges and adjusting valves as needed. Being a Refinery Operator requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Refinery Operator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. - Operate forklifts, and lift trucks to move materials and products pick parts
- Safely pick product while using reach truck
- Perform order picking and ensure accurate inventory counts
- Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on equipment
- Follow safety protocols and OSHA regulations to maintain a safe work environment
- Assist with shipping and receiving duties as neededExperience:
- Previous experience operating reach, forklifts, or lift trucks
- Familiarity with order picking processes and inventory management
- Basic math skills for counting and verifying inventory and reading
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as requiredJob Type: Full-time
