Refinery Operator jobs in West Chester, PA
Refinery Operator controls equipment systems that process natural gas or petroleum into specified products. Responsibilities include monitoring pressure and flow and reading gauges and adjusting valves as needed. Being a Refinery Operator requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Refinery Operator works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. Physical demands of the job are being on feet 100% of day, must be able to lift 50 lbs, be capable of wearing respiratory protection for up to 8 hours in a day, have full dexterity of limbs and range of motion, have good vision and hearing, be capable of climbing and working from elevated surfaces, be capable of working for extended periods in hazmat clothing and inside confined spaces.
