Hyatt Family Facilities is seeking a Regional Nurse/Director of Clinical Services (RN) to support our facilities in Anacortes and Bellingham, WA.

OVERVIEW:

Multi-site position supporting the nursing teams in two skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) and two assisted living facilities (ALFs).

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Reports to the Director of Clinical Services and provides clinical expertise and support to the Director of Nursing Services or Wellness Director at each facility, their Administrator and Executive Director, RN and LPN Resident Case Managers, and staff nurses. This includes health care activities, training and development of staff, and regulatory compliance issues.

• Responsible for the successful implementation and maintenance of corporate policies and procedures related to resident care.
• Responsible for providing staff training and developing QAPI plans to exceed clinical outcome goals.
• Supports the implementation of health care services, policies, and procedures in collaboration with the Director of Nursing Services or Wellness Director at each facility, the Administrators or Executive Directors, RN and LPN Resident Case Managers, and staff nurses.
• Conducts regular quality audits through site visits and audits of all health care areas to ensure compliance with HFF standards and state regulations, appropriate resident assessments, appropriate staffing, staff training, and quality assurance. Reports findings to the Director of Nursing or Wellness Director, Administrator or Executive Director, and the Director of Clinical Services.
• Provides clinical guidance to field staff, when necessary, to determine appropriateness for resident move-ins.
• Promotes problem solving for meeting resident needs and utilizing community resources and support systems.
• Provides guidance to Directors of Nursing Services and Executive Directors to identify providers of ancillary services and support.
• Participates in hiring, training, and mentoring Directors of Nursing Services, Wellness Directors, and LPN / RN Resident Care Managers.
• Analyzes Risk Management reports with the Director of Clinical Services.
• Assesses trends and assists with process improvement plans, with input from the Director of Compliance.
• Support facilities transitioning leadership including functioning as interim DON or Wellness Director at times.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
Must have a Washington state RN license; and minimum of five to seven years related experience and/or training, most of which are in the geriatric field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with the elderly required and must have a thorough understanding of aging issues related to health.

Certifications, Licenses, and Other Special Requirements
Licensed as a registered nurse (RN). Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a private vehicle for business travel.
