Regional Agency Director is responsible for all facets of sales performance for insurance agencies within a designated geographic area. Develops policies, objectives, and initiatives for agencies in the region and is responsible for ensuring the region meets its projected goals. Being a Regional Agency Director coordinates operations with those of other regions. Directs agency and district managers in achieving their goals and objectives of securing the optimum volume of high-quality business at proper cost. Additionally, Regional Agency Director is responsible for number of premiums written per region. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Regional Agency Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be a Regional Agency Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.   • The Director of Home Health Agency is responsible for the strategic positioning, management, overall planning, development, and evaluation of the home health agency and is the acting Administrator per regulatory requirements. The position provides direction and leadership to ensure UW Health Care Direct meets the needs of its patients and communities. This includes establishing, meeting, and continuously monitoring the home health agency’s clinical and financial goals and objectives, while maintaining alignment with the organization’s strategic goals and objectives. While the range of duties and responsibilities is broad and varied, the position’s major responsibility is directing operations, financial management, and personnel in the home health agency. There may be on-call responsibility in this role.


    TECHNICAL RESPONSIBILITIES



    • Directs home health agency (HHA) program operations and ensures that an acting HHA administrator is available during all operating hours.
    • Implements and manages operational initiatives with measurable outcomes.
    • Formulates objectives, goals, and strategies collaboratively with other stakeholders.
    • Evaluates program outcomes and applies continuous process improvement principles to enhance program effectiveness.
    • Prepares and delivers reports to stakeholders, including staff, outlining progress toward goals and objectives, including but not limited to performance related to finance, clinical activity, quality, and safety.
    • Articulates and presents data, information, and ideas in a clear and concise manner.
    • Ensures that evidence-based standards of practice are used, and appropriate patient outcomes are met.
    • Assesses, evaluates, and assures robust patient satisfaction program and practices, including timely follow up of patient concerns and complaints.
    • Establishes and maintains collaborative relationships with hospitals, clinics, and other stakeholders to ensure optimal, patient-centered care delivery across the continuum of care.
    • Supports educational opportunities for undergraduate and graduate nursing, physician, and allied health professional students, ensuring a learning environment that promotes and models multidisciplinary patient care.
    • Actively listens to staff ideas and concerns, assesses communication styles and adapts to them.
    • Creates an environment that encourages diverse opinion, recognizes differences, and incorporates into practices and processes.
    • Recruits, hires, and supervises qualified staff.
    • Coordinates schedule and payroll submission for direct reports.
    • Assesses staff competence and completes performance evaluations in accordance with policy.
    • Maintains home care knowledge and expertise, including regulatory and accreditation standards and licensure requirements.
    • Ensures HHA compliance with state, federal, and accrediting body requirements and standards, including continuous survey readiness.
    • Leads and directs implementation of operational changes as required by regulations, reimbursement updates, or other care delivery changes.
    • Ensures regular review and revision of policies and procedures.
    • Responsible for HHA Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement outcomes.
    • Organizes and prioritizes time and resources to ensure efficiency and efficacy and appropriately delegates.
    • Directs operations and allocation of resources to facilitate cost-effective, efficient, and timely delivery of patient care, in alignment with program priorities, goals, and objectives.
    • Develops and manages operating budget.
    • Analyzes key performance and financial indicators regularly, addresses variances, and adjusts operations to promote fiscal responsibility and financial health.
    • In collaboration with the senior leadership team, develops strategic goals and objectives for the HHA and organization, at large.
    • Assesses feasibility and provides leadership to develop, implement, and evaluate new or growing programs.

    Education:


    • Bachelor’s degree in clinical area (e.g, nursing, therapy, social work), health care administration, or other applicable field required
    • Master’s degree in nursing, business administration, health care administration, or other applicable field strongly desired


    Experience:


    • Five years of progressive leadership and management experience required
    • A minimum of two years relevant experience in the management of home health care or related program
