Additionally, Regional Chef typically reports to top management. The Regional Chef typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Regional Chef typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Responsibilities for a Regional Executive Chef with Phoebe Allentown:
Responsible for managing the assigned campus –Culinary Services Department. Implementing the facilities’ food services program and department strategies to achieve goals assigned to the department; ensuring the department's compliance with operating policies and procedures as well as outside regulatory requirements; organizing the work and activities of the department; communicating with appropriate personnel; directly supervising assigned personnel; providing periodic reports.
Requirements for a Regional Executive Chef with Phoebe Allentown:- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Associate or bachelor’s Degree in field of (Culinary, Hospitality or Dietitian).
- Required to travel to multiple facilities and provide coverage as needed.
- Experience in healthcare culinary services preferred.
- Certified Dietary Manager and Serve Safe Certified.
