Regional Chef plans and creates new menu items for multiple restaurants in a region. Trains unit chefs in meal preparation methods, portion size, and nutrition. Being a Regional Chef negotiates price and purchases food and restaurant inventory items in bulk. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Regional Chef typically reports to top management. The Regional Chef typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Regional Chef typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Chef Henry Catering is looking for a full time or part time cook with an Entrepreneurial Spirit that has flexible hours. We would like someone with at least 3 years’ experience. Hours will vary, and may include mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends but will mostly be between 8 am and 2 pm, Monday through Friday, Some Saturday’s and some Sundays. For full time this will be a salaried position so you will get paid 40 hrs per week. For part time, you will get at least 16 hrs a week. Person must be able to prepare daily food from our menu which includes following recipes and basic food preparation. Selections include fried chicken, baked chicken, braised pork chops, macaroni & cheese, green beans, tossed salads, sautéed vegetables, savory rice, banana pudding, etc.
