Manager, Auto Claims Objective
To lead and coach teams of claim professionals in the handling of automobile claims to ensure superior customer service for Farm Bureau Insurance policyholders. To oversee the FB Express Repair Program (DRP). To ensure proper appraisal and settlement of first-party automobile material damage (AMD) property damage claims while delivering a superior customer service experience.
Manager, Auto Claims Responsibilities
Develop and build effective teams to achieve a high level of customer service to Farm Bureau Insurance policyholders and the field force. Provide training and guidance to team members to insure timely, proper, and consistent claim handling in compliance with company objectives and requirements.
Manage the FB Express Repair Program, including monitoring and controlling the number and quality of shops in the program to meet compliance and custom service requirements.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of contracts written by the companies as they pertain to AMD claims. Maintain proficiency in applicable laws and court decisions that affect claim coverage and handling. Ensure the proper determination of coverage, deductible, and fault code application.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the automobile damage repair and appraisal process.
Stay abreast of improved technologies to ensure the team has the tools necessary to achieve company goals.
Manager, Auto Claims Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in business administration required, or equivalent experience may be considered.
Ten years of insurance claim experience required.
Minimum five years of experience in supervision or leadership in automobile material damage claims or repair field required.
Must possess a valid driver license with an acceptable driving record.
Preferred
Knowledge or education in automobile collision repair techniques and appraisal preferred.
Designations in AIC or CPCU preferred.
