Regional Claims Manager manages the operations of an insurance claims department to meet operational, financial, and service requirements. Oversees the intake and processing of insurance claims for personal, property, or casualty loss based on coverage, appraisal, and verifiable damage. Being a Regional Claims Manager manages appraisal and examination staff and processes. Assures timely and proper disposition of claims based on policy provisions. Additionally, Regional Claims Manager recommends and implements best practices to ensure complete and thorough claim settlements, legal reviews, and investigations following company policies and insurance industry regulations. Determines the value of settlements for escalated claims. Manages negotiations of settlements and administration of claims in litigation. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Position Summary: Northeastern Nevada Regional Hospital is looking for a healthcare professional join our Case Management Team. This position is a part-time benefit eligible position. Predominantly working days, eight hour-shifts including rotating weekends and rotating holidays. Subject to change according to the needs of the business.
The Case Manager facilitates clinically appropriate and fiscally responsible patient care through communication with the treating physician and all other members of the healthcare team, while working in close cooperation with hospital management. The Case Manager assesses and identifies the patient's physical and psychosocial needs and determines, in conjunction with established protocols and input from the treating physician, the health care services and venue of care appropriate for the patient. The Case Manager manages the patient's treatment prospectively through the admission process, concurrently through on-going case management while the patient is an inpatient in one or more venues of care and retrospectively through review of individual cases and identification of trends and patterns.
Minimum Qualifications:
License/Education: Licenses/Education: Nevada RN license, or NV LPN license, or Degree in Healthcare.
Experience: Three years’ experience in general nursing (RN/LPN) or community healthcare setting with relatable experience in case management. Basic knowledge about health care systems, social services, and community agencies.
Licensing Requirements: American Heart Association Certification in BLS within 90-days upon hire.
