    Sofidel America is undergoing rapid expansion, making it an exciting time to join our team. We are currently seeking a dynamic Human Resources (HR) Manager to be a key player in our growth journey.

    In this role, you will serve as a pivotal member of the mill’s leadership team, taking on the comprehensive responsibility of overseeing all human resources processes. Additionally, you will play an active role in fostering and maintaining our vibrant culture of engagement within the mill.

    Essential Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Lead safety, production, and quality processes while fostering an engaged, team-oriented culture, aligning HR strategies with business objectives.
    • Develop tailored leadership training programs for mill leaders, enhancing their effectiveness in driving performance and engagement.
    • Oversee recruiting and retention efforts, implementing innovative strategies to attract top talent and ensure positive experiences.
    • Manage comprehensive onboarding, including HR, safety, and cultural training, for seamless integration into mill operations.
    • Facilitate benefits onboarding to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
    • Administer OJT Training application and reimbursement, maximizing training resources.
    • Maintain documentation for Job Creation Fund reimbursement and ensure compliance with employment and benefits laws.
    • Provide guidance to mill leaders on employee issues, fostering positive relations and driving performance excellence.
    • Spearhead internal communication, fostering transparency and engagement.
    • Lead safety and compliance efforts within the Duluth Mill Safety Council.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, organization development, management, or related field, plus a minimum of 3 years of successful human resource generalist experience, preferably in a team-based environment.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Proficiency in MS Office suite and ability to adapt to new programs.
    • Strong understanding of employee relations and ability to work constructively with leaders and employees.
    • Flexibility and willingness to go beyond the scope of the position.
    • Ability to make sound, timely decisions and work effectively both independently and in a team.
    • Willingness to work outside normal hours when necessary.
