    We currently have an opening for a Regional Human Resources Manager serving Indiana. The ideal candidate will be in the Fort Wayne / Markle, IN area or willing to relocate to the area. This position will have our Sure-Trac Trailers manufacturing facility as their home base.


    The Regional Human Resources Manager will be support to and advocate for employees at assigned Novae LLC brand(s) while balancing the needs of the organization; plan, direct, and coordinate the assigned human resources department’s activities in the functional areas of recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and development, performance management, policy administration, and employment law compliance while fostering a culture supporting the Mission of Novae CLLC.

    Essential Functions:

    • Lead a Mission-driven, regional human resources team to meet or exceed organizational goals while creating an environment where people can be great at what they do and proud of what they have done.  Monitor team performance, promote individual personal development, and provide team with guidance on performing individual tasks.
    • Respond to all requests from employees, the human resources team, and other leaders with a high level of empathy, urgency, and accountability.
    • Act as the Human Resources Generalist for the local team at the manufacturing location of your home office.
    • Act as a resource for leaders in assigned region for proactively leading employees. Advise on organizational policies, employment laws, and, when needed, facilitate the corrective action process through counsel, documentation, and delivery.  Discuss situations with the Vice President of Human Resources, as appropriate and to ensure consistency across Novae LLC.
    • Plan and ensure execution of regional recruitment activities for open roles, including forecasting and monitoring recruitment budget.  Perform all recruitment, selection, and hiring functions for professional positions.
    • Monitor the OnBoarding Discussions and performance evaluation processes for the region to ensure quality execution and compliance of programs.  Refine at the brand level for relevancy.  Coach leadership and human resources team, when needed, for better relationship building conversations.  Work with Vice President of Human Resources if a holistic change is recommended.
    • Analyze human resources metrics of the region for departmental planning, objective development, and Performance Management System execution.
    • Act as a resource for employees in understanding the expectations and culture at Novae LLC; advise on organizational policies and advocate for positive relationships and individual growth.
    • Ensure the safety of our co-workers through supporting safe work practices, regularly discussing safety as a priority, investigating accidents with the response team, monitoring safety related reports for trends, and participating in corrective action of safety issues, when needed. 
    • Make certain the regional human resources team is compliant with all employment laws. Research changes and seek training for yourself and the team to remain compliant.   Work with Vice President of Human Resources to make recommendations for changes, when appropriate, and support the roll-out of changes across Novae LLC.
    • Work with Corporate Compensation Manager on analysis of compensation.  Support the execution of the annual merit consideration cycle, market related wage changes, and other off schedule compensation changes as needed.
    • Work with the Corporate Benefits and Wellness Manager on the execution of open enrollment, administration of benefit offerings, support the wellness programs from Novae LLC and monitoring leaves of absence.
    • Work with Corporate Workers’ Compensation Manager to provide excellent support to our injured employees through the injury response, investigation, and recovery processes.
    • Assist in other areas and perform other duties, as needed.  (This is not intended to be a comprehensive list of activities, duties, or responsibilities required for this job.)

    Qualifications and Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent demonstrated skills and experience, required.   PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
    • Knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines and deep understanding of employment laws
    • Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
    • Highly motivated with customer service mindset
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management.
    • Able to manage confidential information imperative.

    Working Conditions: 

    • Primarily operates in a fast paced, office environment within a manufacturing organization.  
    • Sometime will be spent in production supporting employees.
    • Routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.
    • Regular travel to various worksites and meetings, mostly within assigned region but at times may travel to corporate headquarters.
    • Responsibilities require willingness to work outside of typical office schedule.
    • Will meet with employees on the production floors of all plants.
