As the Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the HR department and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations. Duties:
- Conduct all aspects of hiring; post job, review candidates, schedule and conduct interviews. Complete background and reference checks, offer job, perform all onboarding tasks
- Develop and implement HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
- Point of contact for employee relations, including employee concerns, conducting investigations, and implementing disciplinary actions when necessary
- Coordinate employee training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge
- Administer employee benefits programs, including insurances, retirement plans, and paid time off
- Ensure accurate recordkeeping of employee information, including personnel files, timecards, and payroll data
- Implement performance management processes to assess employee performance and provide feedback for improvement
- Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback from departing employees and identify areas for improvement
- Stay up-to-date on labor laws and regulations to ensure compliance in all HR practices
- Complete HR reports such as ACA, internal staff reports, insurance census, EEOC
- Issue Cobra notices for former employees as well as employees who go on layoff
- Maintain compliance with regulations for daycare licensing, Head Start and AmeriCorps
- Responsible for FMLA, ADA, Worker's Compensation and Unemployment
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources management
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations
- Experience with HRIS systems, GoCo preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience in succession planning and talent management
- Ability to organize and prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Flexible and detail oriented
