ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist HR Manager in the development and recommendation of company policies and procedures; development and changes to the employee handbook; development and revisions to employee job descriptions; review of employee performance management program; administering employee development and training program; advising senior management on employee relations issues and supporting supervisors with employee disciplinary problems. Research and respond to general questions pertaining to company benefits and policies. Knowledge of state and federal employment laws (i.e., EEO, FMLA, ADA, Wage & Hour, OFCCP), counseling and coaching skills, and strong training/presentation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, decision-making, development/planning, and conflict management skills.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration and two years of Human Resources experience, or Associate’s degree and 4 years of Human Resources experience or six years of generalist experience in HR. Professional in Human Resources certification (SHRM-CP/PHR) desired. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software required. Experience with Deltek products (CostPoint/Talent Management) or related HRIS.
GENERAL DUTIES: Assist in coordinating Affirmative Action Program record keeping assuring appropriate employment actions are maintained. Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and selection of candidates and participate in recruiting events. Manage specific projects as assigned which will help strengthen the overall HR operations and enhance operational efficiencies. Assist HR team with various projects and procedures.
OTHER DUTIES: Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor as necessary to support contract/mission support requirements in job-related areas.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: The candidate must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Supports E-OMS operational objectives. Observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security, and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement. WORK ENVIRONMENT: Duties are normally performed in an office environment with some duties performed outside in the field. Travel may be required.
