    Summary:

    The Human Resource Manager (HR Manager) is a strategic partner on the leadership team. The HR Manager will lead and direct the routine functions of the HR department including but not limited to enforcing company policies and practices and ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization's mission and talent strategy. The HR Manager is highly focused on contributing to the development and continual improvement of an engaging culture that provides for career development and a fulfilling work environment. A critical responsibility is building strong relationships and partnerships with the leadership team as well as building trusted relationships at all levels throughout the business. Key strategies for this position include organizational effectiveness, talent acquisition and development, engagement and retention, and legal compliance.

    Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

    • Assist managers on all employee and human resource matters.
    • Create and maintain positive relationships with the company’s employees.
    • Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the organization's human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, retention, and succession planning.
    • Provide support and guidance to management and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
    • Manage the talent acquisition process, which may include interviewing and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial, exempt, and professional roles; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
    • Oversee new hire onboarding.
    • Benefits administration.
    • Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state and federal regulations.
    • Develop training materials and conduct HR related trainings.
    • Oversee employee disciplinary meetings and terminations.
    • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution.
    • Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently.
    • Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives.
    • Maintain HR systems and processes.
    • Provide support and guidance to HR staff.
    • Design and implement employee retention strategies.
    • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
    • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
    • Performs other duties as needed or assigned.

    • Enforces safety and work performance standards and regulations.

    Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
    • A minimum of five years of human resource management experience is preferred.
    • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly desired.

    Physical Demands:

    • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
    • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
    • Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
