      About the Yakima Regional Manager Role:

      As a member of the DS Advisors team, the primary role of the Yakima Regional Manager (YRM) is to lead a team of various experts in investments, planning, trust, banking, and lending. A substantial part of this duty will be assisting the Director of Regional Offices in implementation of the growth strategy for the Yakima region. This will include, but not be limited to, retaining, and acquiring strong referral sources, leading the development of all business lines, marketing Baker Boyer in the Yakima Region, and recruiting and interviewing new teammates. The YRM will establish individual and team goals, coach employees, and oversee and enhance team outreach efforts.  

       

      Key Responsibilities:

      The duties of this position will include but not be limited to learning and achieving efficiency in:

      Operational Excellence:

      • Implement and execute long-term growth strategies for the Yakima region.
      • Create and manage revenue and expense budgets.
      • Develop annual business plans for branch/region.
      • Monitor CRM client contact.
      • Oversee building maintenance/repair/expansion needs in conjunction with a team from various other departments.

      Coaching, Leadership and Training:

      • Lead a growing regional team of banking and wealth management experts.
      • Participate as a coach in collaborative leadership setting for employees from a variety of disciplines.
      • Collaborate with Bank leadership and HR staff in Walla Walla to resolve regional HR issues.
      • Establish individual and team goals.
      • Actively support and promote employee engagement and morale.
      • Recruit and retain teammates who deliver and support the personalized Baker Boyer experience.
      • Retain and acquire strong community referral sources.
      • Build strong positive relationships with community members.
      • Ensure effective training of existing and newly hired personnel.
      • Motivate the team and clearly communicate team role and priorities.
      • Communicate change in a clear, positive, and timely manner.
      • Provide timely constructive feedback to the team through performance appraisals and regular one-on-one and team meetings.

      • Oversee and enhance team sales efforts.
      • Promote Baker Boyer in the region and community.

      • Grow Baker Boyer assets under management and loan portfolio through proactive business development.
      • Actively prospect and participate in client retention calls and efforts to increase existing revenue, cement the relationship, build new revenue, and obtain appropriate referrals.
      • Develop and maintain close relationships with team members and other “Centers of Influence.”
      • Identify and engage clients in business succession discussions.
      • Educate clients about services, assisting them in building their personal or business wealth.
      • Participate in community activities for business development and for a healthier community.
      • Meet or exceed annual sales and retention goals as established by management.

      • Assume the lead role in handling challenges and client issues.
      • Prioritize time to meet internal and external timelines.
      • Maintain a thorough knowledge, through ongoing training, of the Bank’s products, services, policies, procedures, and federal regulations as they pertain to duties.

      Education and Experience:

      Graduation from a four-year college or university, preferably with a degree in finance, accounting, business, law, or related field. Four to six years in a client-facing service and sales role, where a primary responsibility was team engagement, client retention and growth of client relationships. Preferably in banking, finance, accounting, or law environment. Management and leadership experience as well as, ideally, knowledge and expertise in one or more areas of marketing, banking, or asset management or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
