    We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Senior Manager of Marketing to drive marketing efforts for our signature community events and policy-focused programs.
    A bit about us: We are a small and nimble marketing organization within the Chamber. That means we do it all – from brand identity and social media strategy to re-sizing images and printing event signage. We leverage one another’s skill sets, pitch in as needed, and outsource when we know it can be more efficient /effective. We are true partners and are often invited to offer our opinions and knowledge to program directors as their trusted partners. But, we also have clear lines of responsibility. Each team member focuses on a department within the Chamber and is responsible for understanding the department’s goals and building/executing marketing activities that will drive successful achievement of those goals.
    The ideal candidate will be excited to work within this rubric. They will be highly collaborative, agile, and effective communicator, relationship builder team player and passionate about the Chamber’s mission and vision. They have a “we” vs. “me” attitude and are willing to roll their sleeves up to support the entire organization.     RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Own marketing for high-profile Chamber initiatives, including our signature community events as well as the Chamber’s broader civic and policy engagement efforts.
    • Create, manage the budget for, and execute detailed integrated marketing plans for each of our community events: Asian Food Fest, Taste of Cincinnati, and Oktoberfest. Deliver new, innovative marketing elements that achieve event goals and ensure all marketing-focused sponsorship requirements are met.
    • Build marketing strategies that elevate our advocacy efforts and policy positions among relevant stakeholders. Partner with Content Strategy & Communications Manager to develop materials for Government Affairs and Civic and Regional Partnerships teams.
    • Collaborate with the Vice President of Marketing & Communications to draft press releases, media alerts and partner with an external PR agency on key announcements.
    • Develop communication plans for community events and advocacy initiatives that leverage Chamber email and social media capabilities. Contribute to Chamber’s over-arching content calendar and produce email, social media and paid advertising campaigns for owned initiatives as needed.
    • Engage appropriate internal and external partners to brainstorm, gather feedback and gain buy-in for all marketing activities.
    • Own project management of marketing-related activities, including definition of roles and responsibilities, internal communications and timelines.
    • Work with a designer to build all digital, print and social media content for related events and programs.
    • Identify, contract and manage relationships with external vendors as needed.
    • Develop and report on performance metrics for all owned initiatives.
    SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
    The position does not have supervisory responsibility. This role inspires action through collaboration, teamwork, thought leadership, relationships, and information sharing. Communicates with and provides services to a wide range of internal and external contacts.

    QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
    • Bachelor’s degree required.
    • 10 – 12 years of consumer (B2C) marketing experience across key channels (print, digital, social, email, radio/tv; live event experience required.
    • Demonstrated success in managing budgets for marketing events, optimizing resources for maximum impact.
    • Experience guiding visual design and ensuring brand consistency across all materials.
    • PR experience, either at an agency or managing/owning it in-house or as part of project-based work.
    • Ability to manage/oversee multiple vendors, including negotiating rates, reviewing contracts and providing on-the-spot course correction/feedback.
    • Creative/proactive problem-solving ability with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Exceptional relationship building skills with an inherent ability to develop and maintain productive, positive relationships through strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent writing and communication skills.
    • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite products (InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, etc.) and website content management platforms a plus.
    • A passion for the Chamber’s mission to grow our regions economy, population and cultural vibrancy in an inclusive way.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT
    This position is located in a climate-controlled downtown office site and requires a minimal amount of external activity. The job will require talking, listening, researching, and sitting for long periods working at a computer screen. This position does not require travel. Requirements include some evenings and weekends, flexible work week available to accommodate these instances.
