Position Overview
The Regional Marketing Leader (RML) is responsible for identifying untapped local market business opportunities while ensuring strategic alignment to US Marketing objectives. This role will work closely with Marketing and Local Market Field Leadership to deliver tailored engagements that address specific customer needs, while ensuring delivery of a common and aligned brand strategy and regional growth drivers.
The role is the commercial owner of relationships with national and regional KOLs, in collaboration with Medical.
Essential Duties
include but are not limited to the following:
- Generate deep insights by leveraging qualitative and quantitative data to inform national and local strategy, optimal tactics, and customer targets to drive business results in local markets.
- Considers national and local dynamics, in the context of intimate knowledge of national strategies and Senior Director Healthcare Markets (SDHM) needs, to identify market drivers and synthesize commercial insights from a range of sources.
- Collaborates with HQ Marketing, SDHMs, Field Analytics Managers and Marketing Advisors, and internal business partners (CX, Multicultural SD, Health Equity, Medical Affairs, Market Access, etc.) to generate and synthesize additional insights from a range of perspectives to strengthen marketing plans.
- Leverages insights to identify key marketing opportunities, nationally and locally, to improve the effectiveness of engagements and achieve target business outcomes.
- Identifies appropriate thought leaders to provide feedback to inform marketing strategies and tactics, in collaboration with HQ Marketing.
- Partners with Senior Director Healthcare Markets (SDHM), and General Managers (GMs) to finalize actionable and measurable marketing plans, strategies, and tactics.
- Provides necessary recommendations to leadership on opportunities for brand optimization based on effectiveness of implemented tactics.
- Partners with Local Markets to optimize strategy through marketing initiatives, and ensure local tactics are in line with national brand strategy and region growth drivers.
- Develops and manages relationships with local markets, Medical, Field teams, and Legal and Compliance in developing and driving effective strategies and resource optimization.
- Supports the Senior Director Healthcare Markets (SDHM) budget decisions to drive key business outcomes.
- Works with HQ Marketing to ensure consolidation and evaluation of Local Market field team requests.
- Actively supports HQ Marketing and Local Market team decision-making to prioritize investments in tailored solutions.
- Supports annual brand planning process and manages regional budget at each quarterly forecast period.
- Demonstrates a thorough understanding of each assigned healthcare markets provider dynamics, health system drivers and barriers, and competitive intelligence/landscape.
- Works closely with regional analysts to identify key opportunities and growth initiatives to drive impact in the healthcare market.
- Leads the successful implementation of local Marketing programs and tactics through collaboration and coordination both internally and externally.
- Supports the development of a robust implementation or pull-through strategy and required collateral to capitalize on local wins with customers, in coordination with Senior Director Healthcare Markets (SDHM), field teams, and HQ Marketing.
- Leads the creation of tailored content in coordination with external vendors and internal EXAS functions to meet deadlines.
- Ensures alignment and sign-off from Medical, Legal and Regulatory Process (MLR), and Brand Team, on content creation.
- Utilizes KPIs to assess the impact of local marketing efforts to improve outcomes in their markets.
- Identifies key opportunities for regional peer to peer tailored engagements with local KOLs to drive growth and secure product adoption and adherence.
- Leads externally facing activities with national and regional KOLs including interactions at medical conferences, congresses, and symposiums.
- Builds and maintains relationships with national and regional KOLs, emerging Thought Leaders, and relevant key healthcare leadership professionals within the assigned markets.
- Fosters vital healthcare professional (HCP) relationships within healthcare markets (HCMs) and organized customer groups (HS, FQHCs, Employers, etc.), to further advance EXAS opportunities for sustained partnership.
- Champions cross functional planning within the local market.
- Supplies national and regional KOLs with approved content and messaging to generate opportunities and adapt approaches to the local market.
- Attends medical conferences, congresses, and symposiums to provide support and leadership to ensure successful interactions with KOLs within local markets, fostering long term relationships.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Science, or field related to job duties.
- 8 years of experience in marketing, product marketing or related field.
- Strong background in strategy development and implementation.
- Proficiency in leveraging insights to drive process and marketing tactics.
- Proven leadership experience and ability to, at times, lead without authority.
- Ability to be adaptable and flexible. Swift decision-making skill.
- Strong collaboration and team orientation, with experience accomplishing results through others and influencing others.
- Willing to foster a positive team culture built on trust, integrity and all EXAS values.
- Capable to learn/maintain in depth product knowledge and understanding.
- Effective English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to travel 40% of working time away from work location, may include overnight/weekend travel.
- Possession of a valid driver's license; no suspended, revoked, surrendered, invalid, etc. allowed.
- No more than two moving violations, events, or accidents within the last 36 months.
- No alcohol or drug event in which a vehicle was driven by the candidate or employee, including but not limited to Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) failure, refusal to submit to alcohol or drug test, alcohol related suspension, etc. in the last 36 months.
- No other results from the Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) check that exposes Exact Sciences to what Exact Sciences deems to be an unacceptable level of liability.
- Ability to meet any requirements set by healthcare facilities for access to those facilities (e.g., vaccination requirements, mask requirements, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications
- 4 years of regional marketing management experience in a medical field in a customer-centric marketing organization. Knowledge of marketing concepts within strategic planning process preferred.
- People leadership experience.
- Experience monitoring and guiding sales tactics and execution.
- Ability to operate with autonomy and make decisions within ambiguity.
- Strong strategic acumen and problem solving.
- Advanced degree.

$152,000.00 - $242,000.00
The annual base salary shown is a national range for this position on a full-time basis and may differ by hiring location. In addition, this position is bonus eligible, and is eligible to receive company stock upon hire as well as annually.
