Summary of Position:
For the Louisiana and Guld Coast Region: The Marketing Manager is responsible to assist in the planning, development and implementation the Organization’s marketing strategies and communications; maximize company sales through effective execution of annual marketing plan; strengthen the Organization’s position as a great member of the communities in which we operate and; create exciting brand awareness. These outcomes will be achieved by utilizing the most effective approaches while maximizing cost efficiencies.
Duties & Responsibilities: Sales Driving – maximize overall sales and traffic growth by leading the development of short and long-term marketing objectives, strategies, and tactics.
- Participate in the development and implementation of annual marketing and media plan related to digital, email, and corporate communication.
- Actively participate in the development and execution of short and long-term profitable sales-building plans for local marketing programs, tactics and activities.
- In partnership with Executive Director of Marketing (EDM), drive development of overall Digital (social, loyalty program, email, paid media, etc.) strategy while overseeing program creation, execution and tracking.
- Partner with EDM on integration of Digital within the development and execution of profitable sales-building and restaurant- specific plans.
- Lead the integration of Marketing plans and initiatives as it pertains to new restaurant grand openings and remodels.
- Responsible for clear, concise and regular communication to appropriate Teams regarding all marketing-driven activities.
Brand Management – ensure the brands’ appearance and integrity are well represented, communicated, and maintained.
- Ensure Organization’s desired image and position is clearly and consistently communicated through copy direction, design development, production and distribution of the Organization’s in-restaurant POP, public relations and merchandising materials.
- Responsible for upkeep of the organization’s guest-facing website, design/appearance and content management.
- Responsible for overseeing Campaign POP and menu ordering process.
- Collaborate and oversee in conjunction with the EDM the company’s external communications firm to ensure pitches are timely, on-brand and aligned with company strategy.
- Approve donation requests.
- Act as principal coordinator for partnership efforts responsible for partnering with the EDM on the planning and implementation of comprehensive programs and partnerships.
- Lead the identification and implementation of programs which support the image of Ruby Slipper Restaurant Group as a great neighbor within each of the communities we operate.
Marketing Budget – develop, track and achieve marketing budget within aligned parameters.
- Responsible for maintaining and reconciling marketing budget.
- Provide monthly summary to EDM outlining current month and year-to-date expenditures, and through year-end projections digital marketing and other projects as assigned.
Analysis – provide information and insight surrounding: 1) effectiveness of marketing-driven programs and activities; and 2) competitors in the market-places in which we operate.
- Collaborate with EDM on tracking, monitoring, evaluating and reporting on effectiveness of both short- / long-term marketing activities as related to social marketing and other projects as assigned.
- Ensure understanding of competitive practices by supervising collection of competitive menus and promotional materials by market for each one of our major competitors.
Increase Organizational Knowledge – increase the depth, breadth, accessibility and usability of the Organization’s knowledge of marketing-related information.
- Partner with EDM to establish priorities and develop programs & materials supporting identified locations.
- Participate and lead Local Marketing Workshops that focus on increasing Organizational Knowledge at all levels through sharing and education of established Local Store Marketing best practices and Toolkits.
- Partner with EDM to create, maintain and post marketing-related resources on company intranet.
- Pursue knowledge sharing endeavors with industry peers and organizations; share cross-functionally as appropriate.
- Seek out and engage in ongoing learning and self-development opportunities.
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in corporate marketing role
- Expert experience in managing and implementing marekting plans and initiatives
- Strong communication skills
- Basic understanding of restaurant operations and P&L management
- Detail-oriented, self-starter
- Excellent computer skills; proficient in the use of the MS Office products
