  • POSITION SUMMARY:

    This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. The Marketing Director at Ozarks Regional YMCA maintains a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals. The Marketing Director position provides superior marketing and design support to the Ozarks Regional YMCA Association. While working in tandem with a third-party marketing agency, this role supervises and executes the Association’s marketing strategy and initiatives locally while providing insight to the Association on how these strategies are best refined for optimum local execution. The overall goal of this position is to provide the best marketing, communications and support between the Association and the third-party agency while enhancing the YMCA brand.

     

    The successful candidate in this position will play a critical role in the support of Ozarks Regional YMCA and the presence of the YMCA brand in the local market. This role requires a mission-focused attitude and offers a well-rounded marketing position with opportunities for growing knowledge and experience in all facets of marketing, development, and non-profit operations. This position is supported by the third-party marketing agency which provides creative assets, strategic planning and additional advertising services as contracted.     ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Marketing & Association Support

    1. Ensure all communications, presentations, and collateral enhance the YMCA brand and are in line with the brand guidelines and precedents set by Y-USA
    2. Work with and oversee the third-party vendors; submit and manage projects to completion
    3. Review all monthly activity and budgetary reporting from the third-party vendors & agencies with leadership
    4. Manage a pipeline of projects and assist Association directors with marketing needs as needed
    5. Create a wide variety of custom marketing materials in Adobe Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
    6. Produce internal marketing materials such as posters, fliers, booklets and other materials as needed.
    7. Assist in all aspects related to marketing including online design templates, internal social media strategies, and styling documents according to YMCA brand standards.
    8. Coordinate and produce all internal/external materials such as shirts, event materials, signs, banners, Y-branded merchandise, and long-run printing as needed.
    9. Design and develop staff training strategies and materials for marketing-related tasks such as Canva and Social Media
    10. Integrate digital and physical Association mailing lists with third-party agency promotional structure and software
    11. Manage inventory for all mass-produced marketing materials

    Communications, Social Media, and Events

    1. Work as a liaison with third-party marketing agencies and vendors to ensure they have the details for scheduled promotions, events and other press releases
    2. Work with branch directors to promote local events and fundraisers, using third-party marketing agency where applicable and cost effective
    3. Assist branches with strategies to enhance and maintain their organic presence on social media platforms

    Research and Reporting

    1. Utilize Google Analytics and Facebook Insights to review current trends 
    2. Work with the third-party agency to develop a summary reporting system of all metrics for leadership and stakeholders

    Administration

    1. Submit all purchase allocations to accounting on a Bi-weekly basis
    2. Manage and catalog inventory of association marketing collateral such as folders, envelops, cards and other materials
    3. Manage EchoSign and sublicense agreements with all third-party vendors association-wide
    4. Administer online account access for all marketing related platforms such as websites, social media, and project management programs

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    1. Team player and desire to take ownership of the position.
    2. Highly effective at multitasking and quickly prioritizing in a fast paced and professional work environment.
    3. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, communications, advertising, or equivalent work experience.
    4. Minimum of three years’ related experience required.
    5. Strong attention to detail with excellent grammar as well as organizational, project management, and communication skills.
    6. Strong Google Analytics, Search Console, Tag Manager, DataStudio and Ads skills recommended.
    7. Advanced Adobe Creative Suite skills (Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop are required).
    8. Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
    9. Experience in web development, online strategy and SEO processes.
    10. Email marketing, social media, and alternative marketing experience a plus.
    11. A strong understanding of materials production processes, production file preparation and equipment.
