Regional Medical Director establishes and implements health care policies and standards, evaluates new treatments, and conducts medical research to ensure the quality of the medical care provided to patients for a specified region. Writes research publications to support clinical service offerings. Being a Regional Medical Director is responsible for strategic clinical relationships with physicians in the region. Oversees the development of the clinical content in marketing materials. Additionally, Regional Medical Director ensures all regional clinical programs are in compliance with laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree. Typically reports to top management. The Regional Medical Director manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function. Services include minor work injury care, NO chronic pain management! We offer a fully integrated EMR system with complete automation that provides the Medical Director with the opportunity to focus on delivering high quality patient care with minimal administrative duties required of the provider.  Successful candidates come from various medical backgrounds including UC, ED, FP, ER, IM or Ortho.

    Responsibilities

    • Performs medical assessments of Center patients
    • Establishes and monitors a medically appropriate level of care for Center patients
    • Maintain clinical core competency
    • Work with Chief Medical Officer and Regional Medical Directors to ensure operations are consistent with medical policy and professional standards of Nova Medical Centers
    • Collaboration with center leadership team to positively impact quality of care, client and patient satisfaction and center performance

     

    Qualifications

    • Education: Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.)
    • Eagerness and ability to become a Practice Builder
    • Current state licensure
    • Current DEA licensure. 
    • State Controlled Substance Licensure, if required by State Law
    • Experienced in UC, ER, FP, ER, IM. Ortho  experience preferred
    • Experience/ability to suture
    • Experience/ ability to read x-rays and ability to diagnose Ortho related injuries
    • Authorized to work in the USA
    • Ability to work in a cooperative, multidiscipline setting
    • Excellent communication skills and a team player mindset
    • Good organizational and time management skills
    • Good judgment, dependability and integrity
