Regional Medical Director establishes and implements health care policies and standards, evaluates new treatments, and conducts medical research to ensure the quality of the medical care provided to patients for a specified region. Writes research publications to support clinical service offerings. Being a Regional Medical Director is responsible for strategic clinical relationships with physicians in the region. Oversees the development of the clinical content in marketing materials. Additionally, Regional Medical Director ensures all regional clinical programs are in compliance with laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree. Typically reports to top management. The Regional Medical Director manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function.     As a Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in continuing the healing mission of Deaconess.

    Job Overview:

    Day to day, you would be responsible for providing care to patients. Our nursing staff demonstrates their knowledge, critical thinking, and judgment. Responsible for the delivery of patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. Responsible for directing, coordinating all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. As part of the Unit, staff will work closely with patients and families in a rewarding environment by coordinating results and communicating with the Deaconess Care Team.

    Required: Certifications/Licenses:

    • Active Registered Nurse (RN)
    • Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or Red Cross BLS certification required upon hire.

    Education:
    Graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing

    Experience:
    At least one year previous experience in clinical unit preferred.
