SUMMARY
Rochester Regional Health, a large integrated health system in Rochester, NY is inviting applicants for the role of Regional Medical Director. The Regional Medical Director is responsible for the strategic visualization and leadership of operations for the Primary Care Institute.
This role is key to providing leadership that drives patient experience across the practices. The Medical Director exhibits exemplary leadership qualities and clinical expertise in the execution of our clinical model of care, understands the underlying business model and provides input into administrative policy development and decision-making processes. S/he also is a collaborative member of a team of nurses, social workers, physicians, pharmacists, health economists, and program coordinators, and supports implementation of population health strategies, which will have a profound impact on the lives of people living with multiple chronic illnesses.
Reporting to the Executive Medical Director of Primary Care, the Regional Medical Director will serve as the administrative leader providing direction in operational financial performance, recruitment, strategic planning, retention and oversight. The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of demonstrated leadership and a record of accomplishment of excellence in patient care, teaching and development. Top candidates should be strong mentors to new and existing staff members and have the ability to champion excellence in achieving clinical quality outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS: Rochester Regional Health seeks an accomplished clinician with an M.D. from an accredited medical school, current board certification in a primary care specialty (FM, IM, Med-Peds), eligible for licensure in New York State. Candidates must have experience in developing and leading clinical programs, a record of effective administrative experience, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrated commitment to promoting a collaborative integrated environment.
