Oversees the development of the clinical content in marketing materials. Additionally, Regional Medical Director ensures all regional clinical programs are in compliance with laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree. Typically reports to top management. The Regional Medical Director manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function. The Medical Staff Services Director is responsible for the overall organization, coordination and administration of the Medical Staff Services Department and Professional Staff Library, for supervising Medical Staff Services Staff, and for maintaining Medical Staff Services operations in compliance with licensing, regulating and accrediting authorities. Will act as the consultative advisor to the Chief of Staff.
The incumbent is responsible for the promotion of the Hospital’s services and programs to physicians and serves as the physician liaison with the Hospital.
- Bachelor's degree in business administration or related health or management field preferred; and
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a Medical Staff office, with at least one (1) year in a supervisory capacity; and
- Certified Professional Medical Services Management (CPMSM) or Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS)
