Regional Medical Director establishes and implements health care policies and standards, evaluates new treatments, and conducts medical research to ensure the quality of the medical care provided to patients for a specified region. Writes research publications to support clinical service offerings. Being a Regional Medical Director is responsible for strategic clinical relationships with physicians in the region. Oversees the development of the clinical content in marketing materials. Additionally, Regional Medical Director ensures all regional clinical programs are in compliance with laws and regulations. Requires a MD degree. Typically reports to top management. The Regional Medical Director manages a departmental function within a broader corporate function. Develops major goals to support broad functional objectives. Approves policies developed within various sub-functions and departments. Comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Qualifications

    Minimum Work Experience
    1 year of RN experience in the operating room (surgery) is required.

    Minimum Education

    Associate degree in Nursing - Required
    Bachelors’ degree in Nursing - Preferred

    Required Skills

    Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

    Certifications

    Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire

    ACLS within 6 months of hire if needed

    PALS within 6 months of hire if needed

    Licenses:

    Valid licensure in the State of Texas as a Registered Nurse (RN) or COMPACT LICENSE

    Under the direction of the Clinical Coordinator and/or Nursing Unit Director, perform nursing patient care duties for the assigned unit or department. Plan, provide and evaluate total nursing care in accordance with the established patient care philosophy. Facilitate individualized, goal-directed nursing care through the use of the nursing process and the principles of primary nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures. Relate effectively with other shifts for continuity of care, maintain satisfactory relations with other departments and nursing units; and participate in all phases of education.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour

    Expected hours: 36 per week
