Regional Operations Manager

Our team in Abbeville currently has an opening for a Regional Operations Manager

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Directs, coordinates and monitors, through subordinate supervisory personnel, activities throughout the region associated with the receiving, packaging, storage and delivery of products, utilizing knowledge of products, procedures and capabilities of available labor and equipment to safely maximize efficiencies.
• Coordinates operations activities with inventory coordinators, maintenance (where applicable), and quality control input to obtain optimal utilization of assets.
• Reviews and analyzes operations and financial reports for facilities in specified region and determines effectiveness of region and whether corrective measures are required in specific areas. Communicates findings to individual.
• Responsible for safety, health and environmental issues within region of responsibility.
• Confers with Vice President Operations in determining need to create new operations procedures or to revise or eliminate existing procedures.
• Monitors and assists in coordinating final disposition of non-conforming product, slow moving product and dead stock at facilities within region of responsibility.
• Administers discipline and has operational hiring/firing authority at facilities within region of responsibility with guidance from Human Resources and Senior Management.
• Participates in management review as member of top management.
• Participates in customer and vendor site visits where required.
• Responsible for ensuring total operations training compliance for region
• Responsible for overseeing all operations personnel actions relating to hiring, discipline, labor allocation, and training.
• Assists Vice President of Operations, and Facility Managers in establishing annual budgets for operations expenses and capital expenditures within region of responsibility.

YOUR PROFILE

• Graduate of an accredited four (4) year college or university with major course work in Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) to ten (10) years of plant management experience in a chemical or related industry which included at least three (3) years of supervisory experience.
• A comparable amount of training and experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications at the discretion of the hiring manager and Human Resources.
