Regional Property Operations Manager manages the day-to-day operations for a property or portfolio of properties. Responsible for coordinating routine and emergency maintenance, selecting and managing contractors, and leading property improvement projects. Being a Regional Property Operations Manager develops financial and business plans for profitable property ownership. Oversees budgets, lease administration, and tenant service delivery. Additionally, Regional Property Operations Manager may initiate or assist with the buying and selling properties in the portfolio. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Regional Property Operations Manager typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Regional Property Operations Manager typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     Description

    The Collier Companies is seeking an experienced Regional Property Manager for our student housing portfolio!

     

    This is an on-site role, reporting out of The Collier Companies Florida Home Office in Gainesville, which offers beautiful natural areas, a temperate climate, and tremendous educational, cultural, and commercial opportunities.     A standard day as the Regional Property Manager consists of managing and overseeing overall operations and performance of the selected real estate apartment community portfolio. The ideal candidate must be adept at prioritizing tasks and exhibit a high degree of flexibility in order to achieve each community goal.

     

    The Regional Property Manager's responsibilities include, but are not limited to: monitoring property performance, controlling expenses, supervising managers, staffing and team building, interacting with owner, managing the due diligence process, managing new construction lease ups, capital improvement projects, preparing and reviewing monthly variance and forecast reports, and maintaining customer satisfaction.

    Qualifications


    Your Skills - Show Us What You Got:

     

    • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Regional Property Manager
    • Student Housing apartment experience required 
    • Multi-family apartment experience a plus
    • Exceptional customer service skills, and ability to role model and lead team members to perform at a level of excellence
    • High emotional intelligence, with ability to lead, mentor and develop Property Managers for next level advancement
    • Proven track record of revenue generation combined with occupancy growth
    • Strong understanding of financial plan, with the ability to summarize and communicate results effectively to all levels of management
    • Strong verbal, written, computer and analytical skills. Ability to understand market and forecast for changing economic climate
    • Ability to approach each asset with a unique and successful marketing/leasing plan
    • Commitment to life-long learning and development, with ability to receive and deliver feedback and coaching
