Regional Retail Banking President directs all facets of operations for a group of retail branch offices in a designated geographic area. Defines sales and service initiatives for the region. Being a Regional Retail Banking President develops objectives and measurement standards and monitors each branch's performance. Ensures that branch administration teams conduct operations and provide the service and product offerings that meet the needs of customers in that region. Additionally, Regional Retail Banking President may have responsibility for additional retail products such as small business and consumer lending. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Regional Retail Banking President manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.     Who we are looking for:
    BDC is looking for an entrepreneurial, highly motivated, detail oriented professional to join our growing team as President of OBS. As a key member of the team, this individual will be an integral member of a growing team of hard-working and experienced professionals. The candidate will work closely with our CEO and other key management.  The ideal candidate will have been a former President in the FinTech industry with sales related experience in core process, payments and related areas.  You need to be able to look at the big picture with an entrepreneurial mindset, as well as have high energy and high-performance track record. The candidate will be familiar will all aspects of branding, sales and marketing, delivery, development, and growth strategy.  The candidate will have a strong operational background of managing the leadership function of a financial technology-based company and experience working with professional investors (VC/PE) and related expectations.  BDC is an operationally led firm and culture that applies our unique operational knowledge into how we operate the firm and manage our investments.  What sets us apart is that the same entrepreneurial spirit and energy that made us successful in an operational role should translate to building a different kind of investment firm.
     
    What you will be working on:

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Create a plan to build a market leading financial technology company that inspires a generation.
    • Build an effective brand and market presence that reflects the history of the founders and the power of the opportunity.
    • Effectively collaborate with the BDC CEO and Board of Directors to set annual business goals, promote the best interests of OBS, and continue to develop the OBS vision. 
    • Lead OBS in a way that exemplifies fiduciary and governance best practices.  Put simply, you’ll always do the right thing for OBS, its team members and its customer. 
    • Set and achieve organizational goals and P&L financial objectives while providing financial checks and balances. Overseeing operating plan, budget, cash flow, and company finances. 
    • Build and lead an effective and cohesive executive management team to include all company employees, while establishing a basic personnel policy, initiating and monitoring policies relating to personnel actions and training and professional development programs. 
    • Ensure company objectives and standards of performance are not only understood but owned by management and employees. 
    • Ensure company complies with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements and, where appropriate, best practices. 
    • Establish, achieve, and report on financials and milestones to BDC CEO and Board of Directors.
    • Develop short/long term company and product roadmap. 
    • Establish and implement short- and long-term goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.

    About You:
    We are looking for an individual with a strong financial technology operating background who has experience dealing with venture capital and/or private equity and their expectations.   Should have experience in technology and SaaS business models.  

    • Bachelor’s degree in business administrationrequired. 
    • MBA preferred.
    • Core banking experience required. 
    • Prior experience in sales and/or leadership efforts in a startup company preferably with a background in financial services and technology background 
    • Excellent leadership, negotiation, management, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work strategically, but also hands-on problem solving.
    • Track record of building innovative, creative, and collaborative teams. 
    • Strong desire to lead from a strategic and tactical perspective in all aspects of day-to-day company operations. 
    • Venture capital and Private Equity experience/background
