An effective manager is responsible for working with senior leadership to establish best practices to prevent and detect operational fraud by developing and implementing programs designed to reduce internal and external theft.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Oversee all internal and external investigations of retail crime
- Identify, investigate, and resolve employee and other theft incidents through ethical, evidence-based interviews
- Significant travel to various field locations within the United States to conduct audits and interviews
- Develop and support a Loss Prevention awareness culture through partnerships, ongoing communication, and training.
- Provide guidance and direction to field locations regarding compliance with Company loss prevention and detection policies/procedures and implement best practices
- Provide direction for operational audits and streamline a process for failed audits
- Develop and implement training programs and initiatives for all levels of field personnel to assist in eliminating loss prevention and detection issues
- Implement metrics that will measure/evaluate success of loss prevention and detection programs
- Responsible for the physical security of all buildings, vehicles, and assets
- Identify cash and fraud loss trends throughout the Company
- Manage written reports involving internal and external incidents for distribution to senior management and executive management.
- Initiate and maintain shortage and loss awareness programs
- Recommend changes and upgrades to Company security procedures in response to trends and incidents
- Other duties as assigned

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does have supervisory responsibilities. Must be able to mentor, coach, and provide timely feedback to staff within their scope of supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS - Exceptional working knowledge of the industry’s accepted standards and practices related to the loss prevention and security industry including technology, KPIs, investigations and employment law as it relates to the handling of dishonest associates

- Proficient in Microsoft Office; particularly basic Excel Spreadsheet development data conversion, importing, and manipulation; usage of Outlook email and scheduling; and exception based reporting and programming software
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - Bachelors Degree preferred
- A minimum of five (5) years of prior loss prevention experience required, including serving in a management level for a multi-site location
- Experience in any of the following would be ideal; forensic accounting, audit, law enforcement, or retail loss prevention

Pay Range - $75 annually, DOE
